Joe Pizza is the latest concept from the owners of Ask For Luigi, Pourhouse and Pizzeria Farina. We were given a beautiful canvas as a starting point, high ceilings, large windows on a Gastown street corner. After spending some time on site, we quickly realized the design had to unify the large space. To achieve this, we integrated two strategies. First, create a series of intimate spaces with curved banquet seating, a family table and grab n' go benches. Second, keep the design fluid through a variety of materials, lighting and furniture. Connected openness, the rest is simply a beautiful old building.
